    Plumber in Ilsan (Goyang-si)

Estimated arrival (varies with traffic): About 30–50 minutes

We aim to dispatch within 30 minutes of your call; arrival time can vary with traffic and call volume.

Ilsan was built as a planned new town in the early 1990s, so the large apartment complexes in Ilsandong-gu and Ilsanseo-gu are now around 30 years old. That age shows in the pipes: kitchen branch lines narrowed by decades of grease, bathroom floor drains with worn traps that let sewer smell through, and shared stacks that back up on the lower floors. Newer towers around Daehwa and the lake park have fewer of these problems.

    Actual job location: Mapo-gu, Seoul

Foreign object in a shared multi-family sewer

    Symptom
First- and second-floor homes in a Mapo-gu building had repeated backflow and odour from a slow shared sewer.
    Diagnosis and work
Camera inspection from the first-floor manhole found a solid obstruction downstream. It was cut carefully and the remaining material pressure-cleaned from downstream.

    Actual job location: Seocho-gu, Seoul

    Floor-drain backflow in a 10 m branch

    Symptom
Black water repeatedly backed up through a Seocho-gu floor drain despite cleaning near the trap.
    Diagnosis and work
Camera inspection identified a blockage deep in an approximately 10 m horizontal run. Long-reach spring and pressure-cleaning equipment cleared the full line.

    Customer feedback from this area

    • Our older apartment on a lower floor had repeated backflow. They identified the shared pipe and also helped us coordinate with management.

Questions we get in this area

There is a sewer smell from my bathroom floor drain in an older Ilsan apartment. What is it?

In 30-year-old Ilsan complexes the floor-drain trap is often worn or has lost its water seal, so sewer gas from the shared stack comes back into the bathroom. Pouring a jug of water into the drain restores the seal temporarily; if the smell returns within a day or two, the trap itself needs repair or replacement, which we do on the spot.

Water backs up in my first-floor bathroom when upstairs neighbours use theirs. Who fixes that?

That pattern means the shared stack is restricted below your floor, so the lowest fixture overflows first. It is the building's line, not yours, and usually the management office's responsibility. Our camera inspection and bilingual report give you the evidence to hand to them.
